Board of Directors
Cochin Community Welfare Society (CCWS) is a registered charitable society established in the year 1975, under the initiative of Salem Mar Thoma Church, Ernakulam. Understanding the acute need of society, CCWS always wanted to do something substantial for the social well-being of the destitute. The pragmatic philosophy of the board of directors of Irene Homesis deeply rooted in the religious faith and the religion practiced in their day-to-day life. The innovative idea conceptualized is being converted into a reality by the versatile board of directors, consisting of clergymen, who are from the top hierarchical orders of the church, as well as the laymen, who are highly educated and have rich professional experience in various fields.
While designing a home for the elderly, the board of directors has been engaged in meticulous planning and a wide range of details were taken into consideration because, at IreneHome, the physical realities of aging should be in tune with the surroundings one lives in. Keen attention is paid to each stage of planning and development to keep the space hurdle-free, enabling them to have easy movement and access, at the same time to the most modern facilities provided, at Irene Homes, helping them to fly like a free bird, enjoying each moment spent here.
Irene Homes Ernakulam at Puthencruz, a Senior Citizen Home is a Project of Salem Mar Thoma Church Ernakulam promoted by Cochin Community Welfare Society. Perfectly placed in the calm of Puthencruz Town on Kochi- Dhanushkodi Highway(6 Kilometers to Kolenchery Medical College Hospital) spread across 8 Acres of land with 1,00,000 sq.ft. of single building.
As of now, there are 35 numbers 3 BHK, 12 number 1 BHK with balcony. Guest room is also available. Now few more apartments are available on the newly constructed 3 rd floor ranging between 850 sq.ft to 1300 sq.Ft
